The real adventure begins outside of Delhi, for example in Agra with the Taj Mahal or Varanasi by the Ganges River. It would be my advice that you spend at least one day in Delhi before taking off to other parts of India to become used to these places. It is a busy Indian city full of history and many fun things to do.
